GOING back to books after more than a decade, wasn’t easy for Gengammal Copalakrishnan. She was keen to move up the career ladder and in order to do so, she needed to pursue higher studies, but the 32-year-old was initially nervous.

“I remember walking into class feeling worried ... I was going back to study after 13 years,” she said, unsure of how she would cope at the Work Based Diploma in Management programme she had signed up for at Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM).
