Kids abducted to become child soldiers


THOUSANDS of children in South Sudan have been deliberately killed or abducted to fight in the nearly eight month-long conflict.

The African Union (AU) said the present conflict can be characterised as nothing less than a war on the children of South Sudan, most of whom are of school-going age, said Julia Sloth-Nielsen, heading the AU committee investigating child rights in the young nation.
