Richness in deed and spirit

YOU cannot be a millionaire from teaching but you can be a millionaire in spirit and deed — these are the words that I remember from my favourite teacher Cik Faridah Bee MM Abdul Rahman. She taught me Biology at SMK Convent Bukit Nanas, Kuala Lumpur some years ago but I look up to her as my friend, tutor, role model and more than that, she is also my aunt.

She used to tutor me in Additional Maths a subject I was weak in without taking a fee, but apart from my academic gains, she has helped me through life’s many ups and downs.
