UNIVERSITI Kebangsaan Malaysia’s (UKM) Institute for Environment and Development (LESTARI) has partnered with Nur Eco Resort in Ulu Yam and the Selangor Forestry Department to plant gaharu (agarwood) trees under the Ekorelawan Eco-Synergy programme.
The gaharu tree is reputed to be the most expensive tree in the world, fetching up to RM30,000 once matured.
