Klang Valley rivers still contaminated

DESPITE attempts to get comments from the Drainage and Irrigation Department (DID) on encroachment by settlers and business owners at riverine areas in the Klang Valley, the month-long saga continues.

StarMetro’s story “Costly encroachment” on Nov 19 reported that because of rapid development and changing river alignments over the years coupled with DID’s lack of enforcement, businesses and industries in the Klang Valley have ended up right beside a river.
