Chef gets two medals in fruit-carving competition

JOHOR BARU: After two years of learning the art of carving fruits and vegetables, chef Mohd Suhaimi Sidan’s perseverance paid off as he was awarded with two medals during the recent “Battle of the Chefs 2014” competition.

Mohd Suhaimi, 22, who won the silver medal for the “Fruit and vegetable carving” individual category, said that he worked hard on the idea with the help from his lecturers from Institute Hospitality and Tourism Sdn Bhd (IHT).
