Residents opt for rubber mats because of floods

JOHOR BARU: Having to cope with recurring floods for many years, residents of Kampung Datuk Hajah Hasnah Ahmad have decided to switch from carpets to rubber mats in their homes to save cost.

Lorry driver Mohd Ismail Paiman, 47, said that by using rubber mats in his living room, the cleaning process after floods had become much easier compared to back then when he used carpet.
