Call for designated area to perform funeral rites

THE Penang Hindu Association (PHA) has urged the state government to ensure that all high-rise project developers here include in their building plans a designated place for residents to perform funeral rites.

Its deputy president P. Murugiah (pic) said a survey carried out by the association showed that many developers of apartments, flats and condominiums have failed to provide such space for residents.
