‘Beware of conmen impersonating MBPJ officers’

PETALING Jaya City Council (MBPJ) is urging residents to be cautious when opening their doors to men or women clad in dark blue vests bearing MBPJ’s emblem. The caution comes in the wake of public complaints about individuals impersonating council officers.

In the latest report lodged with MBPJ, a senior citizen was scammed of RM350 by two women wearing dark blue vests and claiming they were from the Valuation and Property Management Department to reassess the renovation of the bathroom in the house.
