UTILISING only used materials to create a pedal-operated washing machine prototype, Tamil school SJK (T) Ladang Buloh Akar from Parit emerged champions for their humble invention in the primary school category of the Innovation Challenge.
K. Lingesraj, 12, G. Sarmila, 11, and P. Hema, 10, successfully created the washing machine using a plastic tap, an aluminium barrel, a wooden stand, a metal wheel with wooden rods, and also pedals.
