Datin Paduka Alinah Ahmad’s contract as Petaling Jaya mayor will end on Dec 31 and it is believed that Mentri Besar Azmin Ali has identified the best man for the job.
SPECULATION is rife that Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) president Mohd Azizi Mohd Zain will succeed Petaling Jaya mayor Datin Paduka Alinah Ahmad, who is due to step down on Dec 31 when her one-term contract ends.
According to a source, the Selangor Government had submitted Mohd Azizi’s name to the Public Services Department and Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa to scrutinise the candidate’s aptitude and qualifications.
