KUANTAN: Gamblers are turning to illegal bookies again now that the machine-based gambling dens have shut down, said Pahang CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Mohd Zakaria Ahmad.

He said these bookies would gather at the Malaysian Totalisator Board premises in Taman Perindustrian Semambu here to take bets from gamblers who were looking for a new avenue to get their fix.
