Group calls for checks on older claims made by natives on illegal logging

MIRI: A human-rights organisation in Sarawak has called for a thorough relook of all previous corruption reports that had been made by natives in the state pertaining to illegal loggings over the years; reports that may not have been properly investigated.

Enforcement authorities in Sarawak must re-open these old reports that involved allegations of illegal loggings and corruption; especially those reports that had not been brought to court, said the Society for Rights of Indigenous People of Sarawak (SCRIPS).
