KUCHING: Flat steel products manufacturer YKGI Holdings Bhd, which incurred heavy quarterly losses, expects improvement to the local steel market only if the widespread dumping of foreign materials in Malaysia is curbed.

The company said competition from rampant imported meterials had resulted in lower demand of its products and further depressed their selling prices.
