THE Protestant Cemetery in Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah in George Town, Penang, is currently closed to the public for a RM230,000 upgrading project.

It is scheduled to reopen on Dec 11. Among the works to be done in the five-week project which began last Thursday are repairs to the cemetery’s main gates and pedestrian walkway, ground-levelling, supply of benches, installation of lighting, construction of a shed and bicycle bays, and building of a drain.
