Health alert: A woman checking her blood sugar level to determine whether she has diabetes.

SIBU: The people have been advised to go for blood sugar level checks at least once a year to determine whether they have diabetes.

Diabetes Association secretary, Sibu Branch, Jarret Barnard told reporters at the sideline of a free blood screening yesterday said this was because incidence of diabetes was ever increasing in the country with the current number of patients at 3.4 million. This is translated to one for every 10 people in the country who has the disease.
