THE state Forestry Department has been directed to identify weaknesses and loopholes in its regulations as well as in their implementation.
Commenting on a report that thousands of hectares of land in Perak had been cleared by illegal loggers between 2006 and 2011, Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir said the department had also been ordered to go to the ground more often.
