JOHOR BARU: The Federal Agricultural and Marketing Agency (Fama) targets to open 7,500ha of new contract farms nationwide involving 4,500 participants.
Fama contract farming senior director Ahadiah Mohd Khairi said the programme was started in 2006 and from that year to 2010, 35,222ha farms were opened benefitting 21,468 farmers.
