KUCHING: Sarawak is seeking substantial funds from the Federal Government for rural basic infrastructure under the upcoming 11th Malaysia Plan (11MP).

State Planning Unit director Datuk Ismawi Ismuni said roads, electricity and treated water were among the basic amenities required for rural development.
