Event aims to change negative perception towards canines

ABOUT 800 people and 80 dogs filled Bandar Utama’s Central Park for the one-day “I Want to Touch a Dog” event, an initiative by Syed Azmi Alhabshi to help overcome the general public’s negative perception towards dogs, regardless of race, age or religion.

T-shirts in yellow, orange, green, purple and red were worn by various groups to denote their roles in the event, such as dog owners who brought their pets for others to interact with (red) and event organisers and security personnel (purple).
