JOHOR BARU: Malaysia is falling behind in river care and awareness compared to other developing countries in the region although the country is enjoying consistent economic development.
Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) faculty of civil engineering professor Prof Dr Zulkifli Yusop, an expert on water resources, said Malaysia needed to step up the management of its rivers and carry out strict enforcement to ensure healthy rivers for the next generation.
