Sarawak’s rural infrastructure in a sorry state, says PAS


Potholes galore: Rural and semi-rural roads such as this in Belaga district in northern Sarawak are still in bad shape despite the Government announcing huge allocations every Budget to repair them.

MIRI: Questions are being raised as to why the roads in Sarawak are always poorly-constructed and in bad conditions despite billions of ringgit being announced by the Federal Government year after year for road-repairs and upgrading projects.

PAS Sarawak deputy commissioner Jofrie Jaraiee yesterday questioned why these huge financial allocations announced every annual Budget cannot effectively tackle the road-woes faced by Sarawakians.
