JOHOR BARU: Local councils in Johor have been directed to inspect all billboards erected at pedestrian overhead bridges and on buildings statewide to ensure they are safety compliant.

The directive was made following a collapse of a 40m-long roof covering a concrete pedestrian overhead bridge located at Pasir Gudang Highway after it was torn off from its foundation during a thunderstorm.
