TECHNOLOGICAL advancements and labour shortage are among the challenges faced by newspaper vendors.

“Readers are switching to the e-paper and not many youths are interested in working as newspaper vendors, probably because of the odd working hours,” said Federal Territory Selangor Indian Newspaper Vendors Association (FTSINVA) adviser P. Kalidas, adding that they usually had to start work at 3am to sort the stock and begin delivery by 6am.
