Embarrassing! That’s the only word I can come up with after last week’s defeat to Leicester City. Two goals up at two stages in the match and then falling apart to a team who just got promoted from the Championship — that’s a big no no for a team who only two years back were crowned the kings of England.
Notwithstanding the referee’s performance last Sunday, there was no excuse for United not picking up the three points. The back four were in sixes and sevens against a rampant Leicester side, who should be credited with showing great spirit to come back and win last week’s pulsating encounter.
