THE Taman Beringin waste transfer station in Kepong, which has only two functioning compactors, currently will need at least three such machines to handle its daily 2,500 tonnes of household waste.
A spokesman for the National Solid Waste Management Department said the third compactor would be replaced next month, adding that the department planned to replace all the compactors by August next year.
