Solar energy deal inked


PERAK has signed a memorandum of agreement with Lithuania-based Baltic Optical Disk to launch a pilot project to manufacture new generation solar photovoltaic modules here.

Perak State Development Corporation chief executive officer Datuk Aminuddin Md Desa said the agreement would first see Majuperak Energy Resources Sdn Bhd buying solar panels from Baltic Optical Disk for the pilot project to be tested here while generating some sustainable energy for Tenaga Nasional Bhd.
