Off to jail: Wong leaving the court room after receiving his sentence.
SIBU: Former Sibu District Officer Wong See Meng was jailed for one day and fined RM10,000 in default six month’s imprisonment by the Sessions Court here after he was found guilty for corruption.
On Jan 20 this year, he was discharged and acquitted by the same court for the offence after it was found that there was no evidence to prosecute him.
