Kuala Gandah sanctuary upgrade a part of eco-tourism masterplan


Upgrade: Visitors can view elephants up close at the National Elephant Conservation Centre in Kuala Gandah.

TEMERLOH: An allocation of RM35mil have been spent to upgrade the National Elephant Conservation Centre in Kuala Gandah, Pahang Culture and Tourism Committee chairman Datuk Mohd Sharkar Shamsudin said.

Mohd Sharkar said presently, there were 27 elephants - seven males and 20 females - rescued from various parts of the country being looked after by the dedicated staff.
