‘Stringent checks before graft probe’

THE Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will check out claims of graft and corruption before opening investigation papers, said deputy chief commissioner (prevention) Datuk Mustafar Ali.

“We receive information from many sources and we monitor the cases closely. It will go through a stringent process of screening but that doesn’t mean that investigation papers have to be opened,” he said.
