Take your pick: Superior premium range of Kee Wah Mooncakes from Hong Kong is available only at Jasons Food Hall in Bangsar Shopping Centre.
JASONS Food Hall, the premium delicatessen and supermarket in Bangsar Shopping Centre, has gone the extra mile for Malaysians to savour some of the most exquisite mooncakes for the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival.
Top of the list are three exclusive award-winning varieties from Hong Kong and Malaysia.
Hong Kong’s Kee Wah Mooncakes, renowned for its traditional baking techniques and the finest ingredients that goes into the moon-like “biscuits”, is available in Malaysia exclusively at Jasons.
Apart from its signature “Emperor’s Portrait” four-mooncake series, Kee Wah also bakes several elegant designs that make perfect gifts.
Both “Royal Supreme Mooncake with Chinese Tea Gift Box” and “Grand Assorted Gift Box” are elegant three-tier golden-coloured gift boxes that make luxurious gifts for the season.
Prices range from RM170 to RM1,025 per gift box.
Also available here is the Gift Genies, which offers 100% home-made varieties.
For instance, the lotus paste filling is cooked from scratch at its kitchens and only traditional wooden moulds are used to shape the mooncakes.
Prices for these mooncakes range from RM78 to RM138.
Another brand available is Mei Xin, mooncake top sellers in Hong Kong for 16 consecutive years.
One of its specials is from its traditional series — the red bean paste with 15-years dried citrus peel.
Jasons’ operations manager Charles Van Coller said: “We know that most of our customers are discerning and busy people who enjoy gourmet food but may not want to spend time searching for extraordinary
quality and taste to celebrate the Mid-Autumn festival.
“We decided to do the leg-work for them.”
