Water pipes in filthy drains raise concerns

THE public has raised concerns of the possibility of water contamination after seeing water pipes running along the inside of drains.

Concerned members of the public said contractors hired to do plumbing for hawker centres in the area had resorted to running the thermoplastic water pipes along the inner side of the drains and feared possible contamination by waste water if there was a leak in the pipes.
