Thirst quencher: Ong (left) and Tye with their sponsorship of the 100Plus drinks for Penang Starwalk 2014 during the presentation in Butterworth.
F&N Beverages Marketing Sdn Bhd ensures that all Penang Starwalkers this year will not walk dry, as they are sponsoring a free flow of the company’s 100Plus flavoured isotonic drinks.
The company will be sponsoring more than 45,000 cups of the drink at two water stations along the route in George Town.
The first water station is at Penang Times Square and the other outside The Star Pitt St. building in Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling.
F&N regional sales manager (north) Ong Teng Hin said the drinks were worth about RM60,000, making them a silver sponsor for the premier sporting event.
Its other contributions include 24 cartons of canned 100Plus for officials and guests.
“Every year we try our best to keep the walkers constantly hydrated and replenished.
“Walkers can drink as much as they like
as we will have enough supplies for every-
one,” he said on Monday after handing over
the sponsorship to The Star advertisement representative Mohammad Shohib Ahmad Ibrahim at his office in Jalan Sungai Nyior
Also present was F&N northern region marketing services manager Eric Tye Yee Wong.
Penang Starwalk 2014 is jointly organised by Star Publications (M) Bhd and the Penang Amateur Athletic Association (PAAA).
The event will be flagged off at Penang Times Square at 7am on Sept 14.
Registration has closed as the target of 20,000 walkers has been reached.
