Business owners better prepared following previous water rationing exercise


Plant nursery Fern Landscape Sdn Bhd in Sungai Buloh never uses pipe water to care for the vegetation taht covers 7 -acres. The nursery largely uses water from a man-made pond that collects rainwater on site as an alternative water source. Executive director Swa Teck Yew also informed that the nursery had installed electrically timed system that drips water into the soil of each plant to help save water, a tip which Swa found on the Internet,

DESPITE the daily downpour, businesses in Selangor are bracing for another water rationing exercise by making the necessary preparations. However, some find conserving water a difficult task.

Noodle seller Kua Cheong Peng, 60, who operates a stall at the Happy City food court in Kepong, said business was badly affected during the earlier water rationing exercise some months ago.
