CHIEF among the responsibilities of the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) Health and Environment Department is monitoring public health.

It is by no means an easy feat. However, under the close observation and hands-on approach of the department’s director, Dr Hayati Abdullah, the unit has grown over the years with more sections coming under the department’s purview.
