KUCHING: Despite allegations of defects at the Murum Dam, the 944MW hydro-electric dam remains on schedule for commissioning by the end of this year.

Second Resource Planning and Environment Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said the “expected commissioning” within this year was proof of Sarawak Energy Bhd’s (SEB) “capability and ability to meet our aspirations to become a developed state by 2020”.
