Upgrading starts at two schools

SINCE Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak approved RM100mil under the 2012 Budget, for the maintenance and upgrading of 223 Tamil schools nationwide, upgrading work has only started in two schools.

Of the eight Tamil schools in the Klang Valley in dire need of work, only one — SJK(T) Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur — has received the letter of award for a RM3.5mil allocation to build additional blocks.
