THE People’s Housing Project (PPR) flats in Jalan Sungai in Penang are now much cleaner after some residents there were hired as cleaners under a community contract with the Penang Municipal Council.
The arrangement, said council president Datuk Patahiyah Ismail, started in May this year and has had a positive effect.
