ASIAN direct selling company QNet has become the official direct selling partner of Manchester City Football Club, with the sponsorship set to kick-off several branding benefits and CSR partnership.
The three-year partnership with the 2013/14 Barclays Premier League champions was announced recently at City’s Etihad Stadium in Manchester, alongside key players, Jesus Navas, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic.
QNet, the flagship international direct selling subsidiary of the QI Group of Companies helmed by Malaysian entrepreneur Datuk Seri Vijay Eswaran, said the partnership synergizes well with both the company and Manchester City’s values and stories.
“We are thrilled with this partnership with Manchester City. Indeed, this is a timely and significant relationship between two brands that are keen on taking on any challenges for the taste of success.
“Manchester City started from humble beginnings as a community club, just as we did with a small group of friends. Manchester City rose to prominence after years of hard work and effort. Similarly, QNet rose from various challenges and business environment.
“And, more importantly, Manchester City’s focus on giving back to the community through football finds resonance with our philosophy of ‘Rythm’ which is “Raise Yourself To Help Mankind’,” said Vijay.
Among the benefits QNet stands to gain are strong brand presence at the Etihad Stadium and on digital platforms, together with the launch of several fan engagement opportunities targeting City supporters around the world.
QNet had embarked on several sports sponsorships in the past, the major one being its partnership with the Marussia F1 Team.
On why the company chose Manchester City, Vijay said the CSR component and the connection to key markets in Africa and the Middle East fell perfectly for the company.
“This is a meaningful partnership for us, and we are very excited to jointly associate ourselves with a team like Manchester City as they have a remarkable history in English football and their unrelenting spirit reflects our own Asian endeavours for success.
Manchester City chief business officer Tom Glick said, “QNet’s grassroots philosophy of empowering ordinary people around the world to start their own business and succeed has been the key to their rapid growth, which now extends to more than 100 countries worldwide.
“We are delighted to be working with them in a partnership that presents both
parties with exciting opportunities to
collaborate through football across the world and continuing our exciting growth across Asia,” he added.
