TEXTING while driving is a major cause of road accidents nowadays. George Town traffic police chief Asst Supt Noh Idris said the risk of texting and driving was even higher than drinking and driving.

“Most of the road accidents that happen nowadays are caused by the usage of mobile phones while driving,” he said in a recent talk for some 30 staff members of Penang Parkroyal Resort.
