Sixty candidates rise to the challenge in competition by banking group

Anticipation and excitement are written all over the 60 international finallists of Maybank's GO Ahead Challenge 2014 as they flank Maybank's chief human capital officer Nora Abd Manaf (centre, in baju kurung) before the flag-off. MGAC, a talent-search competition by Maybank Group, draws participants not only from traditional banking finance disciplines, but as diverse as medicine and biotech as well.

SIXTY candidates, from nearly 11,000 international entries, made it to the final cut of Maybank’s Go Ahead Challenge 2014, with the competition’s International Grand Finals kicking off last Monday.

The number of entries, open to applicants living, studying or residing in 14 eligible countries in the region and worldwide, represented a 100% increase from last year’s numbers.
