SOME 62 families of Kampung Pandan Indian Settlement finally received the first half of their compensation cheques on Tuesday after a 15-year battle against the redevelopment of their area.
Only seven families opted to receive RM8,700 as they will be moving temporarily into public housing while the rest will receive RM19,500.
