MIRI: Welfare authorities have succeeded in reversing the fortunes of nearly 30,000 people living in dire straits throughout the state.
Some 29,672 people have been successfully taken out of the hardcore poor category following basic financial help, technical training and skills development rendered to them by the Welfare, Women and Community Development Ministry.
