KUCHING: OM Material (Sarawak ) Sdn Bhd (OMS) has recruited some 320 operational staff as it actively gears up for the commercial production of its ferro alloy smelting plant in Samalaju Industrial Park, Bintulu in the current quarter.
The company has deployed over 50 management staff to the plant site for familiarisation during the last quarter in preparation for the commissioning of the plant’s phase I facilities on a phased ramp-up basis, said OM Holdings Ltd (OMH), which owns 80% equity interest in joint-venture OMS with partner Cahya Mata Sarawak Bhd (CMS).
