The Top 10 list is out for the Best Roti Canai category for The Star People’s Food Awards.
From now until July 31, you can vote up to three of your favourites via Metro Online Broadcast (mob.com.my) under the Star People’s Food Awards panel. Click the Top 10 tab and vote.
In the Top 10 list, the eateries consist of Mr Roti Canai in Putra Heights, Restoran Sri Melur Jaya in Subang Jaya, Roti Canai Pandamaran (Restoran I.V.) in Port Klang, Restoran Sukha Authentic Banana Leaf Cuisine in Bandar Sri Damansara, Sri Suria Curry House in Kelana Jaya, Valentine Roti in Jalan Semarak, Raju Restaurant in Jalan Gasing, Devi’s Corner in Bangsar, Restoran Al Fariz Maju in Kelana Jaya and Original Penang Kayu Nasi Kandar in SS2.
A total of 19 recommendations were submitted for favourite roti canai vendor/stall/restaurant which included Namaste Indian Restaurant in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Taj Curry House in Subang Jaya, Restoran Basil Leaves in Kajang, Restoran Indah Maju in Taman Dato’ Harun, Restaurant Shanmuga in Klang, Restoran Santa in Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Craven Cafe in Bukit Antarabangsa, Restoran O’din in Kepong and Restoran Rishadh in Puchong.
For the past two weeks, foodies have diligently sent in their recommendations for the Best Roti Canai via MOB.
July 10 was the last day to submit nominations and to stand a chance to win hotel stays and dining vouchers at top-rated hotels.
The first 10 days of the month was the nomination period.
Once nominations are submitted, there is an “endorse” button to vouch for other choices that you may like.
You can make up to three recommendations or endorsements, or combination of, per your Facebook account, for each award category.
The Top 10 is then decided by the public, via nomination and endorsement.
Public online voting starts on the 15th to midnight of the last day of each month.
How do you vote for your favourite ones? Log in to the Awards page using your Facebook account. Click on “Open for Voting” and vote for any three stalls for a particular street food.
Each month, the public can vote in their favourite category-based street food, such as roti canai (for July), banana leaf rice (for August), nasi lemak, popiah and nasi kandar.
