Palanivel: Safety and environmental concerns must be weighed in

PUBLIC safety and safeguarding the environment should be the utmost priority for any development plans in Batu Caves, said Natural Resources and Enviromennt Minister Datuk Seri G. Palanivel.

Palanivel said the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple Dhevasthanam Committee, which manages the iconic landmark, must ensure any plan for the area, including the proposed cable car project, was in harmony with the natural surroundings.
