Government allocates RM3.5mil to alleviate flooding in Rawang town

Flood mitigation work: The replacement of the outdated 150mm drainage channels with 600mm or 900mm ones have begun at parts of Pekan Rawang, as seen along Jalan Maxwell.

WORK to replace the drainage channels at three main roads in Rawang town is expected to be completed by August next year and Selangor Drainage and Irrigation Department (DID) expects this to reduce floods there.

The three roads are Jalan Pasar, Jalan Silang and Jalan Maxwell, where the current 150mm-wide drain channels will be replaced with 600mm and 900mm ones, depending on the location.
