AFTER years of living in fear as criminal activities were common, Langkap residents, entrepreneurs and businessmen have now launched their own safety volunteer team to curb crime and illegal activities.

Named the Langkap Volunteers Surveillance Group, with 200 registered volunteers and 35 others, they will actively patrol crime-prone areas of Kampung Goh Hong, Kampung Pahlawan, Chui Chak and Langkap.
