KUCHING: A newly-launched road safety campaign focusing on motorcyclists is seen as timely as they are the road users most at risk of accidents.
Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) mayor Datuk Abang Abdul Wahap Abang Julai said motorcyclists topped the statistics in road accidents because many of them ignored traffic signs and did not maintain their machines properly. “Through campaigns such as this, motorcyclists can learn about safe riding techniques and proper maintenance so that they do not face problems when travelling home to celebrate Hari Raya.
