Call off implementing minimum 25 trading days, SMC urged

SIBU: Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) has been urged to call off implementing a by-law whereby hawkers at the central market must do not less than 25 days of trading per month or action would be taken against them.

Dudong assemblyman Yap Hoi Liong told a press statement yesterday that the council should not go ahead with implementing the by-law which has been fixed for July 1 without listening to the views of the hawkers concerned.
